What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio
I recently was questioned for a case involving furnishing alcohol to a minor, where the other party confessed to drinking and confessed to me purchasing alcohol for them. They went to the police a week later, and I later went in and put my statement in, and was honest and put in my version of the story (the stories pretty much matched).
The police officer told me a few days ago that he had to submit it to the prosecutors, and that he submited the case with no charges.
What is the possibility that I am charged even though the officer submitted this with no charges, given that I confessed?
