Restraing order

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
The person who got a temporary restraining against me, live in IL.

She told lies to the judge. When I got served the papers, I saw the lies she wrote on them.

The next court date is 1-02-09. How can I show the courts that she lied.

Dunno.

By providing proof in court of the truth?

What kind of proof? I was a live in companion for her 14 year old daughter. She stated that I sabotaged the parenting of her daughter. She also stated that I told her daughter to stay away from her mother. Most of this is verbal. She also told the judge that I threaten to take her daughter away. I can't afford to keep driving to IL now that I live KY. The lady sent me nasty emails and I have blocked her.

With all due respect , the mother can request a restraining on anyone she believes is a bad influence on her minor child .

State what your position was , and how long you lived there .

Go to court deny everything .

Tell the court you will stay away from them , you will not contact them in any way .

Then abide by it .

The court may still issue a temp. order .

Do you know if this order of protection will show up on a background check. I am looking for a new job.

It might.

Further, there is nothing that will prevent the previous employer from mentioning it to anyone that calls for a reference.

You know I may sound real stupid about this whole thing. I am also real scared. I have made some real stupid decisions in my life. I paid all the consequences and managed to get everything expunged. I was also dumb enough to tell this lady all about it. I am bi-polar and see a doctor, my doctor and this lady is in the same profession. She has called my doctor and asked him about me, about the things I have said. This is so unethical, she also did this with a dentist that I saw. I get the feeling that some people think this is all so petty. But to me I am tired of being bullied. I do not have money for a lawyer. I just want to be able to fight back in the appropriate way. Can anyone help me fight this in the right way. I know that I am having a hard time expressing myself and my spelling and such could use some help. I do not know what to do. I have been clean and sober for a long time more than 20 years and am trying to stay on the straight and narrow. I do not lie and try to stay truthful unless it will hurt someone. Or I do not say anything at all.

Here's the million dollar question:

Do you sill keep in contact, or have you been in contact with the fourteen year old daughter since you moved out of their house?

Have you made any phone calls to the 14 year old or sent any E-mail or text messages? Have you received any from her?

Yes I have talked to her. When I first moved to Kentucky she emailed me and I answered. She sent me her new cell phone number and I called her once. This was before the order.
Nothing since the order

So it would appear that the order has served it's purpose then.

Yes it has and I understand a parent has their rights. What about me being bullied what about the lies she has told. How can I fight this. It is wrong and uncalled for. I can send you copies of the emails from the daughter and myself. I did nothing wrong. I am asking for help not to be bullied again by another person.
