if a warrant was served and not only the person that the warrant was for went to jail but so did the roommate that the cops actually saw him sign for something that came fedex through fraudulant means were taken to jail then the a couple days later the cops call the wife of the person that was listed on the warrant and they tell her that they left the main piece of evidence behind and want to come and pick it up so in the meantime before they get there to pick it up some one steals the item cops threaten the wife they get no where then suddenly the charges get scratched. i thought that you found out on your court date about whether charges got scratched or not not just suddenly released from jail can anyone help?

The District Attorney can dismiss charges anytime. But s/he can also refile them.
