I was arrested in New York state when I was 16 for criminal possession of stolen property in the 5th degree which was a misdemeanor class A all together my case was sealed I received an ACD now what exactly does the seal mean ?what's the difference from expunge ? Will this hurt my chances of becoming a police officer ?

If you are looking towards a law enforcement career a sealed record does nothing for you - you will still have to reveal all during the hiring process and your record is still visible if a police officer runs a criminal history on you.

How old are you now?
