What is the name of your state? texas
a friend of mine was arrested during a police search of a known drug house. the police found a gun in the house that didn't belong to her, but they charged her with it because she was the only one in the house. she knows who the gun belongs to, but it is not registered , so has no real proof. can she sign some type of statement saying that it belongs to another person so they can arrest the right person? by the way both she and the owner of the gun have a prison record.

she can claim the gun belongs to someone else all day long, but if the other person doesnt admit the gun is their's, she is screwed.

Your friend should get her affairs in order since she may be going back to jail for awhile.
