My friends 14 year old son was recently arrested and placed in a juvenile detention center for second-degree robbery. She can't get any of her questions answered by the California police department. Every witness tells a different story and her son will not plead guilty. He has now spent one week in the center and does not know of a release date. We simply want to know what to expect. Will he be released with probation? How severe will his punishments be if found guilty? Is it necessary to hire an attorney? I'd appreciate any information. Thank you.
