Hi
I was earlier convicted of a sexual imposition charge (a misdemeanor of level 3) in the state of Ohio . I was convicted and arrested for a month. I am currently in probation. The maximum duration was for 60 days but it was reduced to 30 days due to my clean record before. I am an international student and on a student visa. I am looking for software jobs right now. What are the chances that I get my EAD card processed when I apply for OPT and get my H1-B sponsored?
Do I volunteer to reveal information in the interview about my conviction? What if they do not ask anything about it and later find out once they offer me a job or after I join the company? What would be the best way to approach this?
Please help.
