What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama
My 21 year old daughter was just arrested for the 1st time for
Shoplifting with her friend. (I could have died) but hopefully this has been
an eye open awakening call for her. She was charged 3rd Degree Theft.
She had a $600.00 Bond and I bonded her out for $120.00. What does
3rd Degree Theft mean? She has been given a court date in about a month.
What can I expect will happen? What kind of punishment do you think the judge will give her? Should I get a lawyer to go with us? This is the first time she has ever been in trouble and she goes to College Full Time and she works. She just has made a very very terrible mistake. Please help me.
I am a nervouse wreck about her Court Date. Thank you so much for your help.
