Shoplifting

i have a friend who was arrested at work for walking out with a pop. she was charged with shoplifting, hand cuffed and taken to jail. the police will not set bond until a hearing on sunday. is this legal to be held that long without bond, and is it a felony charge to shoplift a pop??

please help with info

your second shoplifting charge is a felony

not a lawyer...just civilain
