So, I Screwed Myself, Whats My Best Option ?

What is the name of your state? Utah

Alrighty. I'm 21, and I have no criminal record. I had one speeding ticket when I first turned 20, which I paid off fine (this was in Tennessee)

In the middle of may, I received two speeding tickets within about 5 days of each other. The first was legimately earned, I've no qualms with that. The second, was a blatent speed trap, going down a hill, he clocked me and wrote the ticket for 5 over.

Between work and everything else, I never appeared in court for either tickets, I actually forgot all about them because I moved, and it took them a while to track down my new address. Now, I've got a summons from one of the tickets (Salt Lake City), telling me if I don't appear within 14 days I'll basically get an upgrade to my misdeameanor.

Both courts have informed me I have a warrant for my arrest. Salt Lake City is basically giving me a pass if I come in in the next 14 days and appear, I'll only be facing my original charges. However, South Salt Lake has not done so.

So, My questions are, what is my best course of action with these ? I blatently can't afford to pay either ticket right now, as I've gone through an unemployment streak. I'm also scared that if I show up for Salt Lake City, even if I get a favorable ruling (delayed sentancing, pay the fine within x days, whatever), that I'll get arrested for my warrant in South Salt Lake.

If anyone can shed some light, beyond "you were stupid haha, now you pay", I'd very much appreciate it.

Thank you.

Well I don't know about the other stuff but in most cases they will let you work of your fines with community service.
