Son in jail we're poor What are our options?

What is the name of your state?We live in Texas and my 20 year old son is in a county jail. We can't afford to post the bond or to hire a lawyer. What are our options? can we do anything to speed up the process? How does he get a court appointed lawyer?

Your son is unemployed and/or poor also? If yes, he will be appointed a public defender at his first court appearance. What is he charged with?
