Statements used against me

In the state of Florida do you HAVE TO give a statement to a police officer? Can they tell you what to write down then use it against you?

What are you talking about? Give a few details.

If you feel as though you were forced into making a statement, you need to get a lawyer.

I was told what to say in a domestic battery case-what happened. I couldn't recall everything and to them that I didn't want to make a statement. They said I have to. Then I wrote what I could recall down. He said it wasn't enough. I told him again that's all i can remember. He told me right down this and that- what happened in his view, I have never been arrrested or given a statement so I did what I was told. He told me to initial what I just wrote then stood me up and arrested me.I have one witness of the officer telling me what to write and he wants to go to court with me.

Yes, I'm fairly certain you have to make a statement in a domestic assault case.

If you feel as you were forced into making a statement, and have a witness to this, I'd advise you to get a lawyer.

And at what point in all of this did the light bulb above your head fizzle out? You know, the one that tells you "Maybe it's time I retained the services of an attorney?"

I came to this site for help. Not to be told I'm stupid, Sorry I am not a criminal.I so glad you have NEVER made a mistake. Thank You for no help and siutting behind a computer making fun of people in bad situations. I am not dumb, I'm guilty of NOT being a criminal, and trusting a police officer.

Cool

I am so glad that you are so above everyone and perfect. Did you read up on the law or are you currently in jail? Since I am not the one with so many posts ( I have seen how rude, non helping and judgemental you are in your posts) playing all knowing and all seeing, You obviously need help with your need to be cruel in order to make yourself supreme, in your eyes. Ignorant, yes of being in the system. A bad thing NO. Keep pointing you finger, three are pointing back at you. Sit there an and get off , or whatever drives your need to attack people via the internet. I try to use my computer to help me. Not because I'm a lonely, depressed, and unwanted member of the human race. I go outside my home. Try getting a date. I am sure a deaf, dumb and blind person could overlook your distastful personality. To all others, I need help, not judgement. Thank You to all on this site who help those who cannot help themselves. It is appreciated more than you know. Pay it Forward and help here and other places in life. I myself am asking for help because I don't know everything, I just was caught in a bad situation.

Ohhhhh, I'm soooo hurt now

But then, I've never been 'caught in a bad situation'....translation, I slapped my girlfriend/wife/lover and now am facing a felony.

1. I am NOT MALE.
2. I had the injuries.
3. I am being charged because I defended MYSELF and tried to stop someone from taking my son.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Your so smart. See you came to a conclusion, without the facts. Hope your not a judge.

Honey, It's no use trying to "teach" these guys a "lesson"

1) They don't listen too well

2) You will always lose. You will leave and they will still be here. They will continue to bash you to their heart's content. Meanwhile you look like an idiot and they have suceeded in pissing you off.

If you let dumb things like this get to you, how do you handle the rest of your life??

My 2 Cents

Your 2 cents

Thank You. I'm not so pissed as I am in disbelief that you ask for help and out of left field comes this. Can you give me any advice? That's all I'm here for. I have an attorney. I have been told having an attorney is not a sure thing either. I am just seeing if I can have the statement thrown out or questioned. I don't want to make another mistake. I trusted a police officer, I get arrested, trust an attorney, I could go to jail. I left this guy and have to accept that he is the baby's father. I didn't want to stay after he hit me. Once was enough. He came into the home, he recently left and his things are still here. So they assumed it was a temp break up and called it a domestic. He became angry and told me if I won't atsy with him he was taking our baby. He picked him up and walked out. I am not wrestling a baby out of anyone's hands. They child ends up hurt. I called 911. I was on the phone with 911 as he was in the driveway. I was screaming at this point for him to please stop. I threw a plastic ramp in the driveway at the hood and it bounced and hit the windshield. THAT is why I got arrested. I DID NOT HIT. slap , punch anything but the car. In panic.

And nothing in this convoluted post absolves you of the charges. You threw something during a domestic dispute. PERIOD. Or are you looking for a break because you're female...maybe because it's YOUR child...or because it was only a car. Sorry, from your own words your ass SHOULD be sitting in jail.

What if what you threw had hit the child. Would you rather be facing murder or manslaughter charges?

You're a piece of work lady.
