statue of limitations

What is the name of your state? in

2 years ago the state and local police came to my door and wanted to ask me some questions about my previous employer. i went to the police station, but not before contacting my attorney who advised me not to anwser any questions, to just listen. when i got to the station i only listened and they told me they had acquired my bank records and that i had been being paid for a period of 31 pay periods that i did not work for the previous employer. the previous employer did direct deposit the money into my bank account and i did spend it. i was not currently working for them but the owner of the company told me to continue to draw the paychecks until they could find placement for me within the company. the police officer asked the other officer if they should read me my rights and the other officer said no, but they did tell me that the conversation was being recorded and i said fine. i never did comment on what they were saying i just listened like my attorney advised. they released me and told me that they had 31 counts of felony theft against me. i talked with my attorney and the last thing i heard was that he had a meeting with the prosector. it has been 2 years now and i have not heard another word from anyone and there is no warrant for my arrest. how long can this go on? is there a statue of limitations?

Under Indiana Code section 35-41-4-2, the statute of limitations is 5 years.
