statue of limitations

iwas charged with dui and was supposed to do jail time,but didn't do it now there are no bail warrants on me. i called the court to see if there is an expiration and they said yes but the judge can keep renewing them/ how long can they do this os is there a statue of limitayions ? also someone said they could charge me with bail jumping or escape? is this true?
