SUBPOENA Problems!!!

What is the name of your state? Ohio
My lawyers filed for a SUBPOENA for a person that lives in Pa. They said it has to be given to him in Ohio? Is that true?
He will not come to Ohio what can we do?
Is it common Knowledge for people to be able to see if the have a SUBPOENA out for them. I looked on my county courts dockets and there it was
I think he might have seen this on line and that is how he knows
He is a very important witness in my case, did the court make a mistake?

My response:

Have your attorney discuss with, and explain to you, International Shoe Co. v. Washington (1945) 326 U.S. 310.

This U.S. Supreme Court case, and its progeny, later through the years, is the reason why your "witness" doesn't have to pay any attention to your Subpoena, and doesn't have to come to Ohio.
