Subpoena questions

What exacatally is a Subpoena? Im 16 do my parent(s) have to attend. What will happen when I go to the court date? Am I in trouble? Do I need a lawyer? I live in Georgia. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

A subpoena is an order to appear in Court at the designated time.

At least one of your parents will need to appear in Court with you, and it should be whichever one is custodial if they are divorced.

Why are you going to Court?

As a witness or victim, as long as you didn't commit a criminal act, you probably don't need an attorney. As a juvenile, your parent needs to go to Court with you.

Just tell the truth.
