teacher's aide needs help

What is the name of your state? California,

hello, i was arrested for grand theft, but the case ended up being handled as a misdemeanor and the case was dismissed for i was found "not guilty".

I am currently a teacher's aide but i also hold a teacher's credential. One question, am i suppose to contact anyone in regards to my arrest? As far as the school district or board of education?

please reply thanks

I wouldn't think if you are just a teachers aide!!! However if you should decide to apply for an "Instructional" position the application and/or contract may require you to disclose your arrest information. I would imagine that the application and/or contract would read something like this;
"Have you ever been found guilty, plead no contest or been acquitted of a felony or misdemeanor other than a traffic violation, blah, blah blah..." Which in that case yes, you would have to disclose that info.

I am not an attorney nor do I have an education in 'LAW' so you may want to ask an attorney or simply read your schools "Policy Handbook"

You were not convicted, so you don't have to tell anyone, unless you are asked whether you were ever arrested.
