What is the name of your state? DC

if my ex gets a temporary restraining order or civil harrassment charge against me for a very rude voicemail and a separate rude e-mail that eluded to my infidelity when we were together will that be able to be seen by prospective employers when doing background checks?

since i now regret sending these 2 messages i am very concerned about ramifications. should i have a mutual friend call her and tell her of my regret and that i wont contact her anymore or just lay low and learn my lesson and hope that nothing will come of it?
