Ten years and counting...What is the name of your state?South Carolina I was informed that there is a warrant for arrest on a bad check that was written in 1992 - what is the statute of limitations for attempting to collect a bad debt - I thought it was 3 years in South Carolina and if so, does the warrant division still have legal rights to arrest for such? |

| This is not a bad debt, it is a crime. The statute of limitations stopped running the day the charge was filed. The warrant could be good forever.
