theft arrest

kentucky
if a crime was faked to prompt a non-compliant employer to provide adequate security (i.e. video surveillance and changes to the banking procedures), would an individual be actually guilty of a crime and if so what would it be? this is assuming that there actually was no crime merely the presentation of one.

My 2 Cents:
Im assuming you have presented the company with a suggestion and they have turned a deaf ear.

You did what you could. You can only help those who want to be helped. Just let it go, and if they become a victim in the future you can be the one to say "I told you so", then maybe they will look to make changes.

Some companies would rather file insurance claims and take losses than pay for beefed up security. It's cheaper in the long run. When security becomes cost effective thats when they start to get with the program.

Right now your fighting a losing battle, that really isn't your fight.
Commiting a crime for the purpose of making a point is beyond the scope of being a concerned employee, and it is still a crime.
