threatened with obstruction charges

What is the name of your state?While being question by police my minor son was threatened with arrest if he did not give a statement.

Is this legal?

He was never Mirandized either before talking with police.

He was being questioned as a potential suspect in WI in what turned out to be a serious felony case.
