Tresspass in a city park

Help

I was walking pass a park about a half mile from my Home
with a beer bottle in hand. I stoped in the park to discard the bottle in the only trash can i saw that was available.

On the way to the trash can i was stopped on the path by the New York City police and arrested for tresspass and and having an open bottle of alcohol.

Can this damage my record? I have no other infractions or arrests on my record. Also is it possible to get this dropped as a first offense?

They took no finger prints or pictures. Please help.
