How does one turn himself in for an outstanding assualt warrant after failing to appear in court? Can he just go in to court any time, post bail, and set a new court date? (This is Superior Court and the person has several older misdemeanor DUI convictions.) What is likely to happen then? Would he be taken into custody? How would it be handled by a lawyer as opposed to going in himself?

Any advice would be helpful. What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?
