Warrant

What is the name of your state? Utah

My husband was pulled over yesterday by a Highway Patrolman and told that he has a warrant out for his arrest. Apparently this warrant is from an alcohol ticket he got in 1998 which he paid off but they are saying he didn't. Unfortunately that was so long ago that he doesn't have the cancelled check to back up his story. He has been pulled over before and no one has ever said anything. He has even had a few background checks for jobs and nothing has ever came up until now. So what I'm wondering is can they after this long still come after him or is there any way to fight this. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I dont' want to pay this ticket again.

Have the bank do research on the check. It will cost you.
