Question

Warrant

What is the name of your state? Nebraska

So I went to court last month and was charged with no proof of insurance and got $100 fine that was due Jan. 10th. It is now the 17th and I realized I forgot to pay. I checked online and noticed there is a warrant out for me. Will I go to jail? Can I just pay the fine. How come I did not get a notice that I have a warrant? Help please.

If an officer happens to run a check on you and sees the warrant, yes, he will likely take you to jail.

I've never really heard of anybody getting a notice that there's a warrant out for them. Seems to kinda defeat the purpose if you ask me.

Go to court and turn yourself in, and make sure to bring enough money to bail yourself out.

I dont know if this applies to you...

last year, a friend and I, went up the mountains and parked on the side to enjoy the view. As we're enjoying the view, a sheriff pulls up and tells us there is no parking anywhere on the mountains because it is private property. I say ok, we're leaving. He says not just yet, we want ID's. (they wanted to run us for warrants.) I'm not worried at all because Im clean, but my friend looked a little scared. Well my friend comes up with a warrant on her for unpaid traffic tickets totaling over $1000.

I thought they were going to take her in but instead, took her info down and they set her up with a court date right on the spot. They told her that if she missed this court date, shes going to jail.

I told her she was extremely lucky since there was a warrant out on her. Maybe the sheriff was having a good day, I dont know.

Nope, it doesn't apply to him.

It is our unanimous opinion that you are damn right and it should be obvious to any moron that your (ex) (SO’s ex) (boss) (landlord) (local police) should be immediately (jailed) (fired) (reprimanded) (arrested) (demoted) (shot) (evicted).
In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.
