warrant

how long can you have a warrant out on you and is it possible for a person to have warrant out on them for not appearing to court if the court papers were sent to the wrong house number. and what can you do to get this problem corrected.(the warrant was issued in another county than were the person lives.

warrants will stay on file until you take care of it or you get arrested. it is the subjects obligation to make sure that they are in court when they are supposed to be. go down to the courthouse where you missed the court date. they should issue you another court date and take the warrant out of the system.
