What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

I received a postcard in the mail stating that I have warrants. Upon calling the court, I have discovered that two of them are for failure to appear on a case that I had no idea even existed. The court clerk stated that they sent me a letter in the mail notifying me of the hearing. I never received this notice for whatever reason; it was lost, I didn't see it or thought it was junk mail. Doesn't the court have to notify me by service of something like this? The original hearings were for contributing to a child's absence from school.

Apparently you WERE notified and likely ignored it (mistaking it for junk mail.)
