Warrant Issued to Revoke Parole

What is the name of your state? Texas
My husband is long way date is on July 18th. He was released on Parole March 30th 2005. He just got issued a warrant for his arrest for a Parole Violation. He is on the monitor and was oout past curfew. Should he turn himself in even though he has 2 more weeks to go? Could he be held in jail past the 18th of July? What should he do? PLEASE Help

This is his 2nd warrant issued. The first one was for tampering w/ the monitor device on his leg.

-His time stops the moment the warrant was issued. If he does not turn himself in then he will be arrested upon contact with law enforcement.

-Yes.

He needs to turn himself in and get it over with.

-It depends on if he incurred any new violations. No one can say how long he will stay in jail. It depends on the probation department, the judge, etc. He should know by now what he is facing.

Question

UPDATE - Husband is held passed his release date

State: Texas
My husband did not recieve any new charges. He was issued a blue warrant. This is a tech violation for missing curfew. Who can I contact to find out when he will be released when his parole officer is not offerring much help? I understand it is up to the Board as to when they complete their paperwork to when he will be released. His end date was on July 18th. Couldn't he be released at any time?

Thanks for your reply.
