What is the name of your state? AZ
What does it mean when the "original warrant is returned"? The charges against the man who assaulted ad kidnapped me were dismissed without prejudice but now I see a note that says the original warrant was returned. Does that mean he is being re-charged?

It depends on the warrant.
It could mean that a search warrant was returned, either served or not.
Or it could mean that a warrant was issued but returned due to an error.
Or any of several other possible 'meanings'.
I suggest you contact the prosecutor and ask.
