What is the name of your state? SC

My friend's ex accused her (as if it were FACT) of going online to look at his cell phone records -- she is really upset about this b/c she didn't do it & would'nt even know HOW to looks up his cell phone records (!??)... Most likely he is just provoking her, but if his cell records WERE accessed & he had a way of knowing about it...

Is there anyone one who COULD have? In other words, can private investigators (e.g. for insurance fraud) ethically do something like this -- or parole officers?

Unless she logged in to an online account that he had, or, called and represented herself as a responsible party to the account, she couldn't have gotten the records with any ease.

Depending on the company, she may have more or less difficulty getting the information. Usually it takes a written request from the police or a subpoeana to get that information.

some companies allow online access to your phone records. If you have not logged on yourself, then someone posing as you can sign on and create a login/password to see your account info.

They would have to know your phone number, address, and some other personal info like SSN, but its certainly possible. Of course this is unethical. I do not know if it would be illegal.
