Warrant stopped??

What is the name of your state? georgia

Apon finding out that my probation officer issued a warrent a while back for me....I called and he told me that If i come to his office on mon. with a payment he will stop the warrant...my question is....If he stops the warrant will that go into effect that instant or is there a chance I could still get picked up at my home or work...and is there anything he should give me to prove the warrant was stopped?

This happens all the time. He calls the court and tell them that the violation has been paid off, and asks them to recall the warrant. Then they call the sheriff's office. They pull the warrant from their files and clear it off of GCIC.

It's possible that the PO is trying to lure you in so that you can be arrested, but in my experience, they don't care that much.

I agree. Sounds like you may be going away.
