What does the Penal/Criminal code actually state about the probable cause for stopping and searching an individuals vehicle without a warrant, other than the plain view doctrine? I need to know what my rights are regarding, what I believe was an illegal search by task force officers via an annonymous telephone call. The PC affidavidt submitted to the court states that they acted upon such and I am at a loss to whether this was in fact legal or should I have a hearing on the motion to supress.
