Hi,
I have a non jury trial for a disorderly persons/loitering ticket.
I hired a lawyer, who I like but seems to have health problems that are
affecting his ability to perform. I called him and he has not returned my calls
so I am worried he might not show and something may have happened to him.

What do I do if he is not there tomorrow for my non-jury trial?

Thanks for the advice.
He finally called and said hes very sick and the court appearance is rescheduled.

Maybe this sick/rescheduling is some strategy that I am too dumb to see.
I was ticketed for disordery persons/loitering for giving a woman a ride and dropping her off.
They said she was a prostitute - but she only wanted a ride and they never stopped her, talked to her or ticketed her. This seems so frivolous.

Your attorney would withdraw if his health issues would not permit him to serve you.

You could file an additional pro se appearance (so you would have you & your attny able to speak to the judge) if you wish.
