Accident 2 years ago

What is the name of your state? Arizona

The Accident happened two years ago in Arizona. I had filed everything with my Insurance company the day of the accident. 6 months later I moved to another state to finish up my schooling. I was under my family's insurance and they did not change insurance till a year after the accident. Now after 2 years I was issued a Summons for what I believe to be a Civil Suite for medical and lawyer fees.

No one was seriously hurt in the accident, most of the damages were to my car but no ambulance was called.

I am in the process of contacting my former Insurance Company, but I have a few questions about this. First, am I required to travel to Arizona for this case? Is there a Time limit on the plaintiff to file the complaint? Would the Insurance Company still be liable even though I have not had their insurance for over a year?

Thank you for your time
