What is the name of your state? North Carolina
My ex-husband had me drive his Jeep Liberty during the time I had my car in the shop for repairs. He knew I was not covered under his policy but allowed it anyways.
While backing out of my driveway, i hit his car that had no insurance on it when I didn't see it in the blind spot. Upset I immediately went into the house and call him about it.
He asked if I was ok..and said "Val, don't worry about it, it is just a car." I called him several times apologizing for the accident and he told me not to worry. this accident occurred in March 2002.
Now he is seeking revenge for me not getting back with him by filing a suit against me for that accident. Can I be held liable? I have a witness to what was said...my older son.
