Accident liability

What is the name of your state? IL

Am I liable if my son drives my car and is in an accident? Or is he liable? Can I be sued because I own the car? I have insurance on the car, but he has been disqualified by my insurance company for coverage.

**A: why was he disqualified? Too many accidents, moving violations, DUI's etc.?

**A: then you are both liable. You had prior knowledge of him being uninsured and the reasons, and still gave him the keys. I am sure your insurance company is going to refuse the claim.
