accident settlement

involved in an auto accident (virginia) the other driver's insurance has agreed to pay for damages etc. since he was at fault. I have injuries from the accident that may need therapy etc. in the future. doctors are not sure since the accident was only a week ago. should i get a lawyer to help me with my case or would i be better off to settle with the insurance company on my own. what should i expect or what is a fair amount to settle for assuming that my injuries do require further treatment. They have already totaled my car and are in the process of paying me for it. Thanks in advance for any advice.
