My son attended a sleepover birthday party. Sometime in the evening the mother hosting the party consumed alcohol and anti-depressants. She passed out sometime around 11:00 pm knowing 8 boys were still awake. While playing, the boys ran from one room to the next, unbeknownst to them, the host's son closed the sliding glass door. The boys came running back and my son was first to hit the door, which shattered on impact. He required 18 stitches to his face and hand.

Initially, the boys went to the mother's room and tried to wake her but she did not respond. They called 911 themselves. With the ambulance came 3 sheriff deputies. None of them could wake her for about 20 minutes.

Any grounds for a suit here? We have no insurance. Four days later he is having headaches. He is a handsome boy and will be scarred between the eyes and below the left eye.

Well, you may have a negligence case against her, which might be a strong case, since she consumed drugs and alchohol while in care of the boys.
