accident while pregnant.

What is the name of your state? FL

My girlfriend was 7 months pregnant when she was rearended while at the stop light in her mothers car. She was whiplashed and our baby was delivered 3 weeks premature. Is she entitled to anything since our baby was born with some problems such as low blood sugar and jondus. She also gets constant headaches and back pains.

Thanks
Mark

Sure. You will need to prove that the baby was born prematurely because of the accident. You will probably have a harder time proving jaundice was caused by the accident. Both of my kids were premature, and although I was pregnant when I was hit from behind with the first, they both were tiny, tiny babies, and they both had jaundice, and they were both hospitalized for 2 days because of their jaundice.

What damages did the baby being premature cause? By the way-many babies are born at 37 weeks without being involved in an accident. What damages did the jaundice cause (many babies are born with jaundice as well)?

Who has the headaches and the back pain?

Just wanted to be sure. I couldn't tell by the wording of the original post.

You will have to be able to prove that the accident caused all that you are referring to.

Your wife was covered for PIP for $10,000. I'm not sure if the baby is considered a separate person.

How much liability coverage does the other party have?
