Tx. My mom died from accidental stangulation in a nursing
home, {ruled accident after homicide investigation}
Nursing home did not contact authorities.A family member
with experience in the healthcare industry contacted authorities, which prompted the homicide investigation.
Had this family member not contacted authorities, my mom would have been buried with no investigation.My family is suing the nursing home for neglegence.My mom had very obvious strangulation marks around her throat. My question:when there is obvious signs of possible foulplay,is the funeral home required to contact authorities?
