Accidental Hit and Run

What is the name of your state? PA

My best friend just told me that he pulled into a parking lot and as he was parking, hit accidentally scraped into a SUV next to him. He said it left about a 5 inch scratch on the side of the SUV's car. I guess he freaked out because he drove off without alerting the parked driver. He came over and told me what happened. What could happen to him if someone identified his plate and had the police track him down? How much is the fine and is there any other penalty in store for him?

What do you mean "accidental hit and run"? Based on your post, this is simply a case of hit and run and there was nothing accidental about it.

Your "friend" can be prosecuted for hit and run. The amount of any fines would be up to the court to decide.
