i was involved in an accident on a private parking lot (Best Buy) in indiana. now the insurance company of the other driver says i am at fault and is charging me for the damages. i heard a rumor that if an accident happens on private property that i do not have to pay even if it was my fault. is this true.

where do you people get such NUTTY IDEAS anyway?

Of course you have to pay if you are at fault....

UNLESS and that is a BIG UNLESS you can prove the accident was caused by the parking lot!

HUH? YES were the lights off in the lot? was there no arrows telling you which direction to go in?

Was there pot holes, drains without covers.. arrows pointing in the WRONG direction?

Did the condition of the parking lot contribute to causing the accident?

If so then the owner of the parking lot should be sued.
