Here is scenario in state of LA:

Girlfriend living with boyfriend for 2 years, being carried on his auto insurance for her vehicle; she has proof of ownership; insurance company believes car is his. Girlfriend is told to move out. On moving day she is involved in accident and had been drinking. Boyfriend left her in drunken state earlier in day for her to move. Insurance coverage is only for liability. People in other vehicle were injured. Questions?

What is boyfriend's liability here? Owns a home and several other assets. Fraudelent insurance coverage possibility?

What is girlfriend's liability? Arrested for 1st offense DUI. No assets.

Depends on how the court will see it. His insurance but her car --- division of liability may be split.

I suggest girl get a private attorney. http://www.attorneypages.com
