Hi
I am living in texas. recently i had an auto accident.

I was hit from behind by a cab. The cab was inturn hit by another truck. As per the cab driver, he was hit from behind by the truck driver and so he had hit me. i think the truck driver received a accident ticket. It appears the truck driver doesnt have insurance.

i called up the cab drivers insurance and the adjustor told me that the insurance company is not liable and wont pay for the damages. He said the truck is liable and he is supposed to pay the damages. I called the truck owner and it does not appear like he is willing to pick up the bill totally either. i am in a total state of chaos with nowhere to go. Before i go to an attorney, i want to know about the following things
a) since i was hit by the cab physically and not directly by the truck, it appears to me the cabs insurance should pay. the insurers might go after the truck driver if they wish to.
b) There is no fault on my side and i am stuck between these two.
what are my chances if i go to an attorney.

can somebody clarify on this please?

Thanks
