I was involved in a head on auto accident. The driver of the other vehicle was 100% at fault and was issued two summonses. The first – careless driving, the second – driving without a valid license (licensed expired at the end of September). I received a very nasty cut above my right eye, which required plastic surgery. I have several bruises and a severe rib strain. I will most likely have a scare from my cut above my right eye. My vehicle was totaled and I have received my settlement information from my insurance company. I very concerned about out of pocket expenses (i.e. deductibles from my auto insurance and medical insurance). Should I contact a lawyer? What are my options? Will I be able to collect my entire out of pocket expenses?
