What is the name of your state? Iowa. My daughter was involved in an auto accident 10 months ago. She was not at fault, a semi truck came up from behind two fast and rear ended her and totaled her car. He also hit the truck in front of her. The semi truck's insurance will not cooperate with us at all. My daughter only had liability insurance so I have been fighting this on her own. My daughter visited the dr and had bruising in her neck, but nothing more. Since she had no car, she lost her job because she could not make it in to work on time. She was to young to rent a car so had to take a taxi or rely on friends and family to give her a ride. So now the insurance company wants to offer FMV of the car at todays rates. I feel they made a bad faith effort to close this account and I will not accept just the FMV of the car. Do I have a leg to stand on.
