| Auto Accident in Utah I was traveling on a 2 lane road about 40mph. When I got about 30ft from an intersection, this car just pulled right out in front of me leaving no time to avoid and seconds to brake. Needless to say we hit. Both cars were totalled and she was cited for failure to yield right of way. I left the scene in an ambulance with head, shoulder, and neck pain. I later returned to the hospital with continous pain (one week later) and was told it would go away in time and to just deal with it with pain pills till then. It has been almost a year now. I now have severe headaches at times and trouble sleeping. I still have neck and shoulder pain and now have developed upper and lower back pain along with pain in the pelvic area. What are my legal rights as far as going back to seeing a doctor at the insurance companies expence and can i get personal injury damages or pain and suffering damages? I have never been involved in any kind of legal matters, so I dont know what my rights are or what I should realisticly expect out of this matter. Or should I just accept the fact that I will have pain the rest of my life and learn to deal with it? I was a long haul truck driver by trade, but now have trouble doing that. It is painful getting in/out of the truck as are stairways and very difficult to sit still behind the wheel for any length of time. Would appreciate any advice someone could give me.
