auto accident

What is the name of your state? NC

I was in a motorcycle accident and the driver of the auto was citated. I do not, however, have a valid motorcycle permit. I was citated a few months earlier for not having the permit. Will this present any problems in settling my case?

You were driving the motorcycle? The accident was not your fault? File a claim with the other driver's insurance, and quit driving the motorcycle without a license!

Yes, I was driving the motorcycle and the other vehicle was given the citation. My question still remains unanswered- will this interfere with my case if this goes to trial (I received injuries from the accident)?

You'd have to ask your lawyer about that, if it comes to trial, but the fact that you shouldn't have been driving does not make the accident any less the other guy's fault.
