Auto Inccident

I was rearended on a federal military installation by another soldiers wife who had no insurance. The Federal OWCP took responsibility for my medical bills being that I was considered in the line of duty. I had underinsured auto insurance on my policy and plan to subrogate against my own for my losses. I have a herniated disk that has caused an extreme amount of pain since the date of loss 2 years ago. I am in the National Guard and they are currently doing a Military review board on me, in which it appears I may lose my affiliation with the Military do to my inabbilities to serve in a full duty status. What are my options if they decide my 13 years of service are not meeting the minimum requirements of 15 years and they release me from duty without a medical retirement. Do I apply for Social Security or what other options do I have?

Are you an AGR? Who requested the medical board? If it was you, were you trying to get a P-3 profile? Would a P-3 make you non-deployable or affect your MOS?

Food for thought:

I know two E-7's who have had their C-spines fused, which prevents them from being able to fire the M16 from the prone position. This means that they cannot qualify, but they are still serving. One is an AGR who can only work 4 hours-a-day!!!
