Auto insurance law

What is the name of your state?

Alabama

By law, how much time is a person allowed to get insurance after purchase of a vehicle before getting a "no insurance" violation ticket?

My response:

The moment that car's tires leave the dealership driveway and hit the street, you had damned well better have it insured.

How? You call your insurance company from the dealership and inform them that you bought the vehicle and want to insure it. From that moment, you're insured. Then the car can legally move from the dealership and into the street.

And if you Dont have an Insurance company to call, you have a FRIEND/PARENT DRIVE YOU around to different insurance companies and PURCHASE insurance....

That means you need CASH to buy insurance, then Take the insurance card to the dealer, and Voila!!!

You can legally drive the car off the lot

by the way, most car dealers will take care of this for you -right at the lot. They will call your insurance carrier.
